Meet The Team

Alan Mackenzie - Wintle

Founder & CEO

Alan started his career at the Atomic Energy Authority working on a variety of projects including early nuclear fusion and infra-red laser technology before moving into the computing world in the early eighties. He held several senior customer facing roles in the corporate IT industry, working with start-ups, various software companies and internet pioneer Sun Microsystems. He was headhunted by IBM where he was responsible for their European relationship with one of the world’s largest providers of outsourced services, driving annual revenues in excess of $100 million for IBM.

After 35 years in corporate IT, Alan hung up his suit and returned to his scientific roots to help a start-up to bring a portable infra-red mass spectrometer to market for use in the Chinese agricultural market, exiting when the operation was relocated to mainland China and joining the Board of a friend’s publishing company specialising in producing subscription-based competition puzzle books.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Alan became increasingly aware of the importance of both physical and mental health, with a particular emphasis on understanding nutrition and alternatives to traditional drugs and medicines. After successfully completing a Nutrition Science course at the Stanford University Centre For Health Education, he decided to use his experience and skills to help people Add Extra Years to their life and Add Extra Life to their years.

Alan has developed the capability for Add Extra Years Limited to service the rapidly growing need for high quality British-manufactured, organic, vegan, natural health supplements to keep the body healthy and alleviate a variety of common conditions. He has also integrated the publishing operation into Add Extra Years Limited to provide an online daily puzzle service and printed crossword and puzzle magazines stimulate the brain, keeping it healthy and active, helping to offset early onset Dementia and improve mental health.

Over the last six months Alan has assembled a team of the very best and most experienced leaders to form a Non-Executive Board to lead Add Extra Years Limited forward through an ambitious and exciting expansion phase
